Esra Magsoud (MSW, RSW)
I individual, couples & family therapy to children, youth & adults
About
My career in mental health began as a neuroscientist and diagnostician, supporting individuals recovering from Traumatic Brain Injuries.
However, my desire to provide consistent holistic care to individuals, their families and social environments guided me to psychotherapy.
My passion for mental health is demonstrated in my 5+ years of innovative research on mental health and 10+ years of experience serving Toronto’s vulnerable populations, including at-risk youth, persons of colour, as well as individuals and families experiencing trauma related to homicide, domestic violence, grief, relocation, stress and bullying.
I am a friendly, optimistic, honest and reliable psychotherapist. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, grounded in acceptance, trust, respect and empathy.
Whether you seek to make positive strides in your emotional, personal, social, or mental health, my goal is to improve your quality of life during our time together. Counselling is an inclusive and holistic healing environment for my clients to confidently share and collaboratively explore feelings, concerns, or thoughts. I am solution focused and dedicated to building upon your strengths, cultivating your resiliency, and empowering you to achieve success!
When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking for my loved ones and reading by the water. I also enjoy painting, hiking and dancing.
